Departing from Porto, you will embark on a full‑day, 10‑hour journey into the heart of the Douro Valley, one of the most iconic wine regions in the world. Our air‑conditioned vehicle ensures a comfortable and safe ride from the very beginning.

Before reaching the Douro, we will make a brief stop in Amarante, a charming town known for the São Gonçalo Bridge, the Tâmega River and its picturesque historic centre — the perfect setting for the first photos of the day.

We then continue towards the Alto Douro Wine Region, where the landscape begins to reveal the famous terraced vineyards that shape this unique valley. Your first visit will be to one of the following estates: Quinta do Seixo (Sandeman) or Quinta da Roêda (Croft)

Here, you will learn about the traditional methods that, for generations, have produced the world‑famous Port wine. After exploring the vineyards and understanding the natural factors that make this region so special — such as the harsh climate and the unique schist soil — you will enjoy a carefully curated Port wine tasting.

Please note: the estate visited may be replaced by another of similar quality, depending on availability on the day.

Next, we will pause for a traditional Portuguese lunch at a local restaurant, where you can savour the authentic flavours of the Douro.

After lunch, your guide will take you to the heart of Pinhão, where you will board a 50‑minute cruise along the Douro River. This scenic journey offers a unique perspective of the valley, allowing you to admire the terraced vineyards and the grandeur of the landscape from the water.

Before returning to Porto, we will visit the small local producer D’Origem, where you will learn more about this UNESCO‑listed region and enjoy a tasting of regional products such as table wines, olive oil, honey and almonds.
